In an emotional press document, area student Shigeharu Kobayashi revealed today his intentions for the coming years. Kobayashi, a senior at the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics, has declared that college is not in his path for the 1999-2000 academic year. Kobayashi will engage in labor whose qualifications solely rest in his high school diploma, the only quantifiable aspect of his life, the press document said. As of today, the minor plans to defer the college decision for a year, the document said. "Don't worry Admin. This won't hurt your 100% college admittance rate. As near as I can count it, with all the students that have come through this school, I don't believe I count as 1% of the Governor's School experience," Kobayashi said.
